TO,
QATAR OLYMPIC COMMITTEE
Dear Sir,
I was told that girls are not being encouraged to play sports at Arabic Government schools. I did my best talking and writing to make it a must that girls should learn sports at schools and that markings and grades are given to the girls in order to pass. But despite of a letter circulated to all girls schools, but still I hear that sports are not taken seriously. They say that some sports teachers will sometimes ask the girls to remain at the classroom or walk around at the school or otherwise a teacher of another subject will teach the children instead of the sports teacher.
I heard that federations do not care, and instead, they will buy foreigners to represent Qatar. That is causing our girls to become overweight and diabetic, with ammonia and lacking Vitamin D.
It is Hassan Aljefairi’s goal to empower Qatari women, but he could not achieve that because the media and the press do not give him the coverage that he needs to make a change.
Yours Faithfully,
HASSAN I ALMULLA ALJEFAIRI,
