TO,
MEMBERS OF THE ADVISORY COUNCIL,
QATAR.
DEAR SIR,
My pen was isolated from the local press because I asked for some power sharing in Qatar. The creation of a Qatari opposition activist “Hassan Aljefairi” came like a shock to some officials who are not used to be questioned. When I claim that I am Hassan representing the national unity, they wonder what am I talking about, and when I say I am the voice of democracy, they say what? Democracy? Who is that?
In Qatar, we have the government and we have on the other side, those extremists who do not believe in freedom of speech and power sharing.
Hassan Aljefairi is needed in Qatar as a liberal building a future that is based on quality education, diversified economy consisting of industry, reexport, free zone, financial services, tourism and free trade.
Qatar government claims that it is a moderate and peaceful state, then why it does not support Hassan? He is the moderate man of peace? Why space in the press and media is given to the extremists but not to Hassan?
YOURS FAITHFULLY,
HASSAN IBRAHIM ALMULLA ALJEFAIRI,
QATARI PEACEFUL OPPOSITION.
