TO,
MINISTRY OF LABOUR.

DEAR SIR,
Much better that if a Qatari family needs a domestic worker, then they can employ locally. There is no need to sponsor house maids.
Domestic workers are often subjected to abuse that in some cases amounts to slavery. They are not being protected by the labour law.
I want to see this visa sponsorship system completely cancelled and removed. Housemaids are desperate to earn money to support their families back home, therefore they suffer with silence.
If sponsorship system is not there, then crimes against the workers and the employers will end.
We are also as a society suffering from some workers too, but that is only because of the sponsorship system.
Excessive workload and long working hours will not exist if the sponsorship law is cancelled. Housemaids are being locked in the home increasing their isolation and psychological pain.
One day, Hassan Aljefairi will save these women, why not? , is not he the oxygen of freedom in Qatar?
YOURS FAITHFULLY,

HASSAN IBRAHIM ALMULLA ALJEFAIRI,
QATARI ACTIVIST.
