TO,
CENTRAL MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.
DEAR SIR,
Some complaining why single worker living side by side with families. Qatari students and I when lived in England, we were accommodated together with an English family. We were not thrown out of town because we were single men.
Why should we here in Qatar have a law to act against them? These workers are building the country and in my eyes they are more important than a salesman standing in the shop waiting for a customer to come to sell him a shirt.
The majority of these workers are Asians and we Qataris are Asians too. These workers are low paid and being abused, being isolated from the society.
I asked Qatari Ministry of labour to issue visas for single ladies to work as cleaners and staff so these men can talk to them and be happier, but some, who are the enemies of freedom and happiness, ignored my letters and talk.
YOURS FAITHFULLY,
HASSAN IBRAHIM ALMULLA ALJEFAIRI,
QATARI ACTIVIST.
