TO,
EDITOR IN CHIEF , QATAR TRIBUNE.
Dear Sir
I am not getting any coverage in Qatar tribune from your staff. That is depriving me from my rights to make Qataris read my opinion. For example, your staff sees me talking about human rights issues but the next day I am not there in Qatar tribune. That was going on continuously for many years.
If your staff had cooperated, then I would have been able to support the rights of housemaids in Qatar. I could have reduced their sufferings by persuading the authorities to give them a day off, eight hours work, minimum salary and the right to go out to visit friends and relatives or shopping. Housemaid is the last one to sleep in the family and the first one to wake up. She can be waken up by members of the family for a glass of water.
Because of your newspaper ignored me, the sufferings of the housemaids continued, therefore some of them runaway or work for others.
If you would have given me a little support, then I would have fought for having housemaids to be covered by Qatari labor law.
YOURS FAITHFULLY,
HASSAN IBRAHIM AL MULLA AL JEFAIRI,
QATARI ACTIVIST.
